To download the hive app click here or simply search for "hive scooter" in the App Store or at Google Play.

Install the app and register. The map then will show you which hive is available in your area. If you don’t find an available hive nearby, simply zoom out the map and search the surrounding areas.

To unlock your hive, open the hive app and scan the QR code using your phone’s camera or enter the 6-digit code that’s below the QR code.

To start, step on the scooter with one foot and push off with the other to start moving. Put your other foot on the footrest to hold a stable position, then press the right-hand throttle to speed up. Note: To turn, shift your body weight and turn the handle slightly.

To slow down and brake, release the green throttle and gently press the red brake. You can also use the foot brake on the back wheel.

You can park your hive momentarily without having to end the trip or find a new hive. Just park and tap "Park Mode" in the app. To continue your trip, tap the lock in the app. You can be in parking mode for 30 minutes.

Before ending the ride, make sure your hive is parked in an accessible area and that it is not blocking sidewalks, public roads or garages. Then just tap “End Ride” in the app.
